Finals

Orion plus Athena support two different types of Finals.

The standard "Start from Zero" Final, where the top eight athletes after qualification compete in the Final, and the winner of the match determined exclusively by scores in the Final.

oIn Orion, competitions that have a qualification plus start from zero final are organized by having two different match files. The first for the qualification (e.g. "3x20 (KPS)"), the second for the Final (e.g. "Three-Position Finals").

oStart from Zero Finals are designed to be used with Electronic Scoring Targets. It is generally not possible to conduct a Start from Zero Final using paper targets.

The deprecated "Accumulative" Final, where the top eight athletes after qualification compete in the Final, with the winner of the match determined by summing their qualification score with their Final score.

oIn Orion, competitions that have a qualification plus accumulative final are organized using one match file. All Orion courses of fire that support accumulative finals have the phrase "plus Final" in their name (e.g. "3x20 (PSK) plus Final").

oAccumulative Finals are designed to be used with Electronic Scoring Targets. However, it is possible to conduct an accumulative Final on paper targets.

Running multiple finals with the same Course of Fire simultaneously requires as many displays as Finals would like to be run. Choose a different Result List to use as Athlete Ranking for each final you would like to run, see Spectator Display Form for more information.
