Command Style Guide

In order to create consistency between different COURSE OF FIRE commands, the following styles should be adhere to when crafting your range command script, with respect to authoring Range Officer Commands.

Safety Words

Safety words should be in all capitol letters for emphasis.

START

STOP

UNLOAD

Automated Commands

When a command is automated, such as turning the Green lights off, the command text should be the same as the previous command text or an empty string. Additionally, the Notes should state that this is an automated command.

"This is an automated command to turn the green lights off."

Immediate Sequential Commands

When one command should immediately be followed by the next, end the command with "...".

"10 record shots in a time limit of 10 minutes ... " (followed by START).

Unscripted Text

Unscripted text, should be pre-pended and post-pended with "--".

Note:

The Reconfigurable Rulebook and functionality will be fully implemented in the 3.0 release of Orion Scoring System. Athena and Rezults both 100% implement the Reconfigurable Rulebook.
