Due to the similarities between the USA Shooting Air Pistol rules and the CMP Air Pistol rules Orion does not have a separate "CMP Air Pistol" rulebook. Match directors who wish to conduct a practice match or competition under CMP Air Pistol rules may do so in Orion by selecting the USA Shooting Air Pistol rulebook.

CMP sanctioned matches may report their scores to the CMP using the USA Shooting Air Pistol rulebook.
