The member policy controls how matches become members of a tournament. The member policy is chosen when the tournament is created and cannot be changed later.

Member Policy	How Matches Become Members	Result
Invite Only	Managers of the Tournament invite select matches by entering a match ID on the tournament page.	The member appears as Invited until someone with permission on that match approves the invitation.
Request to Join	Users request that their match join the tournament by entering the match ID themselves.	The request appears as Pending Approval until a tournament manager approves it.
Open Join	Users add their own match directly from the tournament page.	The match joins immediately without a separate approval step.

Note if the user adding the match has permissions for both the match and the tournament, the match will be immediately added as an approved tournament member.

What Changes on the Tournament Page?

Rezults changes the button label on the tournament page to match the policy:

•Invite Only: Invite New Tournament Member

•Request to Join: Request to Join as Tournament Member

•Open Join: Join as Tournament Member
